GRAHAM INDEX TABLE SETUP PROCEDURE SEQUENCE VALVE SETUP

1.
Set the sequence valve at 450 PSI.
2.
Depending on the version, connect one end of a hose to port “C” or “#4” on the index manifold, and place the other end in a container.
3.
Screw sequence valve adjustment “in” (clockwise) until it bottoms out.
4.
Turn on the hydraulic pump and set the system pressure to 450 PSI.
5.
Oil should not be coming out of the hose. Back adjusting screw “out” (counterclockwise) until oil flows (valve opens) and lock in place.
6.
Adjust system pressure down until the oil flow stops and back up again until oil flow resumes.  Check the pressure and if necessary, repeat steps 3 - 6 until the valve opens at 450 PSI on rising pressure.
7.
Once the sequence valve is set, remove the hose, plug the port, and reset the system pressure to 500 PSI

Rapid Flow Control Adjustment:
Adjusting the rapid flow control sets the rapid speed of the index table. Though this speed may vary according to the load weight of the table, it should be adjusted to approximately 15 RPM.  Time the revolutions of the table by holding the “index” and “rapid” valves on and adjust as needed.

Decel Flow Control Adjustment:
The decel speed of the index table is set to make a smooth stop from the rapid speed. If the decel speed is too fast, it will slam to a stop, or if too slow it will be sluggish getting into position, or even stop short, and possibly not move in the jog mode. Set this flow control as necessary to obtain a smooth transition from rapid to stop. You may need to decrease the rapid speed and increase the decel speed to optimize the index cycle.
